Collars we've been loving!

Every so often I come across a company that makes the perfect collars and accessories, and recently i've come across 3!

Firstly we have Broughton & Co, now i've mentioned them before (they featured on our Christmas wish list!). We had the pleasure of meeting the guys at B&Co at DogFest in June where I picked up two of their collars and lovelocks (which I mentioned in my July favourites!). I wanted to give the collars a through testing before I wrote about them and I can confirm they are brilliant!
The first collar I bought for Lily was a Blue Glitter Ombre collar, I absolutely adore anything blue and sparkly so just had to have this! I must admit I was a bit worried about any glitter fallout but after lots of wear it still looks good as new - Lily loves a good roll on the concrete and despite that it still looks good as new.  The ombre glitter is just beautiful and really evenly blended; Lily will definitely be needing the Ruby Red Glitter collar at Christmas!

The second brand is a new one to me but i've seen our friends Spaniel Life & Adventures of Doodles wearing sets by SuperPuppies so when they had a 40% off sale I picked two sets up!
Both sets are from their "Essentials" range, Lily and Sev wear a size Small and it is the perfect fit! The fabric used is so, so soft! There are literally no sharp edges which is important especially on little necks! The set comes with a collar with chrome hardware, a bow and a matching lead. The bow has got to be one of the best bows i've bought, it's not too big and because of it's double loops it stays put on the collar and doesn't twist around like lots do! The lead also surprised me, it's super long which is really helpful when you have two very short dogs! Once again it's super soft and comfortable to use even when they pull!

The first set I bought is the Camilla which is a pale pink gingham print, which is perfect for the summer!

The second set (and probably my favourite) is the Aqua. I absolutely adore the tiny floral print, because the florals are blue Sev can also wear it! (Personally think it suits Lily better, ha!)

And lastly is the newest discovery; Paws With Opulence. I initially came across Paws With Opulence through #WoofWoofWednesday, they are a relatively new company but everything on the site is so luxurious! Simone (the brand's CEO) contacted me asking if we would be interested in trying their collars*, so obviously I said yes! Simone sent me two collars (the second will appear in a later blog post!) but the one that I fell in love with is the Pebbled Black Leather collar. The craftsmanship on this collar beautiful - the leather is buttery soft and gorgeous! It's embossed with the PWO logo and is finished with brass hardware, this is the sort of collar that would last a lifetime!

Have you bought any new collars lately?

*Paws With Opulence kindly sent us the collar but all opinions are my own :)

7 Questions with House of Henry

House of Henry is a relatively new brand to me, I first started chatting to them through #WoofWoofWednesday on Twitter (8-9pm on Wednesdays!) and they make a wide variety of products including a huge range of personalised items, House of Henry also have a weekly feature on their site called "7 Questions" where each week they feature stories and advice from dog groomers, trainers, behaviourists and other professionals.
HoH had been following Lily's story about her most recent back troubles and asked if i'd be interested in writing a piece for them, now I feel like I spend my life being ran up to by excitable members of the public telling me that they'd love a dachshund and are quite often shocked when I tell them about Lily's problems which effect a large percentage of the breed so I agreed straight away - i'm a firm believer in the phrase "Knowledge is power" so if by sharing our experiences helps someone else I'm all for it!
You can read our post here, a more in-depth update about Lily's current progress will come soon :-)

I also placed a small order from the HoH website and ordered two of their personalised canvas dog snack bags; Alison very kindly personalised them even further for me creating two bags with a dachshund print and the words "Fachshund Show Team" on them - they are so beautifully made and I cannot wait to use them on Saturday at our next show! :-)
Even the packaging was lovely, I especially like the business card which comes with two tiny collar bows - so, so cute!

I will definitely be placing another order in future, they do a wide range of natural toys which look really good, Ava especially loves jute/suede toys!

Let me know if you read our entry for the "7 Questions" feature!
Thank you for reading - we're off to acupuncture!

July Favourites

In an attempt at getting back to normality I thought i'd start with my July favourites; cannot believe it's August already - where is the time going?!
Our 5 favourites from July;

Canagan Biscuit Bakes (Country Game)
We won these treats in a giveaway on Twitter when they first launched, these grain free treats are heart shaped and easily snapped in half making them a brilliant training treat. They had added glucosamine for joint health plus tartar control for healthy teeth and gums - making them a brilliant guilt free treat!

We were contacted by Penny asking if we'd be interested in trying out one of her collars, I chose this gorgeous pastel mint coloured leather collar. It is beautifully made and lovely and soft (it's actually the collar Sev's wearing in the photos above!) Lily has worn it everyday since it arrived and I just love it! Definitely think we need the Ocean Blue collar next! Perfect for the summertime!

LPC was a company that i've followed on Twitter for ages and when I spotted this pink and gold marble print bow tie I just had to place an order! The bow is slightly larger than our usual bow ties but is really striking and holds its shape really nicely, these are limited edition so you'd better hurry if you want one!

I featured this in my favourite rope leads post (which you can read here) this colours are just gorgeous and beautifully well made! This has been my go to lead since it arrived, so so gorgeous!

When I bought Lily and Sev's collars from DogFest I also ordered them an engraved lovelock each. Lily's is Antique Bronze and Sev's is Oxidised Black. They both came with a matching key (which is adorable!) and come with free engraving - mine both have their names engraved on the front and my mobile number on the back. They're lovely and I will be keeping ours for best, they would also make brilliant gifts too!

We've got some exciting blog collaborations coming up this month which I can't wait to share! Glad to be back blogging too (Lily's back has gone again incase you don't follow us on Twitter so our lives have been a bit mental recently but we're slowly getting back to normality!)

What have you been loving this month?
