2018 Christmas Gift Guide

I can't believe it's almost Christmas time again!
I love everything about Christmas, and this year is extra special as it's our first one together in our house! :)

This year i've not included as much as I have in previous years, but have included a variety of things from our favourite companies, both old and new.

'The Melody' Pink Oops! Pouch - Teddy Maximus £14.95
This is the perfect gift for anyone who's fed up of having pocket fulls of poo bags! This one lives in my Mulberry handbag and is chic enough to pass as a luxury bag charm. It comes in a variety of colours, but I love the pink and gold combo!

Frayed Bandanas - Luna's Loft
These frayed bandanas from Luna's Loft really are lovely, my favourites are the Finn (the blue) and the Delilah (the pink). They come in a wide range of colours and sizes making them perfect gift for any pup!

Candy Cane Weather Proof Lead - DevilDoodDesigns £27.50
I have been saving this lead for December and it is just brilliant! It adds a perfect festive touch without being too in your face. The biothane handle is super comfy to use, and the weather proof rope is perfect for the wintery weather, dirt simply washes off and the lead is good to go!

Signature Print Dog Toy - Teddy Maximus £17.99
The bone we have is in the light blue fabric (which perfectly matches our Slumber bed!). These bones are surprisingly tough and ours is still going strong! They have a squeaker in too, which the Dachshunds love!

PoochPlay Activity Tracker - £39.99
This is by far the best dog activity tracker we've used! The PoochPlay is a tiny little device that records your dogs activity levels, the bonus with these is that the device itself is tiny, not bulky and super lightweight making it perfect for smaller dogs and puppies. They now come in a variety of colours!

100% Pure Wool Bows - MaddieMakesForYou - £6.50
I picked up three of these in their recent relay to ship sale and was super impressed with the quality! These bows are perfectly sized and very well made, they attach to the collar with a loop of elastic.
Pictured are the Formby (blue), Lavender Cottage (lilac) and the Bramble.

Turkey and Cranberry Dental Bones - PlaqueOff
These bones are quite new from PlaqueOff, i've used their dental powder for years and these seasonal themed dental bones make the perfect guilt free treat for your dogs!

'The Kimberley' Scalloped Navy Tote Bag - Teddy Maximus £150
The new tote bags from Teddy Maximus are just dreamy! This gorgeous navy coloured bag is top of my Christmas wishlist this year! TM has released the tote bag in three stunning colours; Tan, Black and the Navy (which is my favourite!). Each tote bag comes with a complimentary Acme dog whistle which in itself is a dream Christmas gift, which is gold plated and matches the individual tote bags perfectly!

So, what is on your Christmas List this year? Do let me know!

Catching Up!

Hi Everyone!

It's been a while! Since I last posted life been a bit of a whirlwind; I started a new (somewhat stressful) job, our puppy grew up, we went to London for the Dachshund Cafe, we've been renovating the garden and garden and been here, there and everywhere!
Life has finally calmed down to the point I have time to dedicate to the blog once more, i'll be honest, I've really missed it and it definitely feels good to be back! :)

Lola is now 6 months old and is massive and gorgeous, and oh so clever!

She went to her first show last week and qualified for Crufts twice on her first time out! :)
Sev also qualified for Crufts multiple times over the summer too!

We met us with Chloe and Winnie to head to the London Dachshund cafe in August. It was Sev's first time on the underground and he took it like a pro! Definitely helped by our Teddy Maximus carrier which has been absolute lifesaver.

Lily is doing brilliantly and is fitter than ever, she's so happy back at home with the girls and my parents :)

And the most exciting thing thats happened in our absence was the announcement that another Dachshund pup would be joining our family. Luna is a shaded cream miniature longhaired dachshund who will be joining us mid November - I cannot wait! Our little family is finally complete :)

We're off to Discover Dogs next weekend to be part of Team Teddy, separate post to follow on that!

Thank you for reading!

The Travall Dog Guard & Why We Think It's Fab!

Hi everyone, sorry for the radio silence! We have been super bus with the pups and then we went on holiday, but we're back and i've got lots planned!

In July we took delivery of our brand new car (setters take up a lot more room than a dachshund, haha!) We spend a lot of time doing long car journeys with the dogs so we chose a car that was safe and comfortable for all of us; a Dacia Sandero Stepway, and set off on the mission to find a good quality dog guard that would ft.

We came across Travall who actually sell guards specific to our car (we really struggled to find any!) and very kindly sent us one to review.
Travall are absolutely brilliant and sella huge range of accessories made specifically for your make/model of car, my mother has a Travall Dog Guard in her Mercedes and thinks it is great!
The Travall site is so easy to use, you input your car make and model and Travall will show you a list of everything available for your car so that everything is guaranteed to fit properly; we went back and bought the mat set for our car too!

The guard itself was super easy to install and took about five minutes to fit, it's secure, doesn't rattle, and doesn't obstruct the drivers' visibility.
We have been using the guard for a month now and think it is absolutely brilliant, we have gone on a few long distance trips with the dogs (to Windsor, Dorset, Surrey and the Isle of Wight) using it and put it to the test, and knowing they are safe and secure really puts our mind at rest.
All loaded and safe, ready for adventures! (Dog shows in this case!)
We love our Travall Dog Guard and would definitely recommend it and the rest of the Travall Range!

A Dog Friendly Networking Event

Last Sunday we headed over to Wilts to attend a Dog Friendly Networking event hosted by Steph from Spaniel Life at Monty & Mabel's in Wilton.
This was Lola's first proper outing and she was so good! (thank God for beef scalp!).
Steph had organised various different stalls and speakers, this is the first time we've been able to go to a blogging event in ages and I'm so glad we went - it was brilliant!
Monty & Mabel's provided us with tea and cake (the best chocolate cake ever!) and the event provided Puppicinos and doggy popcorn and crisps for all the pooches, which S&L loved!

The afternoon started off with a talk from Honey's Raw, i'd heard of Honey's before but not really looked to much into them, the team explained all of the benefits of raw feeding and talked a bit about their food before answering questions. They kinda provided everyone with a copy of their Natural Feeding Handbook (which i've had sat on my Amazon wish list for ages!) as well as a voucher for discount on their food - we will be ordering soon and will let you know how we get on!
After that Emily from DevilDoodDesigns and Adventures of Doodles ran a paracord collar making workshop, we prepaid for this because it was something that looked super fun - no photos of my collar yet because I still haven't finished it - oops!
There where lots of stalls from our favourites, Luna's Loft, DDD, Cotswold Pooch and a few more others, we're off on holiday next week so I was on a budget and picked up a new lead for Sev and Lola. Sev's is a soft rope lead from DDD with gorgeous gold hardware and Lola's is a lovely soft rope slip lead from Luna's Loft.
To finish the day Steph and Camila ran a discussion on photography and instagram which was really interesting - I definitely learnt something!
I am so, so glad we went and would definitely go to another one!
Would you go to a networking event?

Jaime, Sev & Lola xo
