May Favourites

It's been a whiles since we've done one of these but we've got so many fab products we've tried this month that we absolutely love that we thought we'd bring it back!

Firstly we've been loving the new Summer range from Boots and Bones, as always Ellie has all the best prints and collars our favourites from the new range are the Navy Star design and the Tie Dye design (links to follow!)

Our favourite treats this month are from Neoh & Nobo! Our favourites are the Pumpkin x Papaya treats! Sev thinks these are super yummy, and are also packed with healthy ingredients and are designed to aid the skin and coat! Use code LILYSEV20 for 20% off!

Our next favourite (or favourites!) are the new step in harnesses by WagyTail we were very kindly sent these and I love them! They are so well made yet so affordable and now come in a variety of colours, I chose the Black/Navy Plaid harness, the Brown/Grey Plaid harness and the Blue harness, (all the the Step In style and in size Medium).

And finally we have some bows from Mabel & Mu, always my go to place to buy bows, especially when I saw they had 35% off! I added three more to our collection.
The bows I ordered were; Vintage Rose, Blossom and Hex Blue - a bargain at £3.50 each!

What are your favourites this month?

The benefits of Benyfit.

Lily, Sev and Isla have been on Benyfit raw for just over a month now and are loving it!

Until Lily's incident with a duck wing a few months ago I'd been DIY raw feeding as much as possible, but after Lily swallowed the duck wing whole (to then throw the wing up in one piece the following day!!) I became a lot more cautious of feeding the dachshunds wings/necks which led me back to the hunt to find the perfect raw complete. I'd heard a lot about Benyfit raw so decided to give  it a go; they offer a 5kg starter box which is perfect for trialling the food, mine aren't at all fussy with what they eat so I was intrigued to see the effects on them.

Benyfit is a relatively new brand started in 2014 out of founder Ben's kitchen after he's failed in finding a food that was right for his Labradors. All of Benyfit's ingredients are British and ethically sourced, all of their meals are 100% complete and balanced which is exactly what I was looking for! As well as containing muscle, offal and bone they also contain a variety of vegetables such as kelp and broccoli as well as various other natural supplements nettles, psyllium husks etc.

Another thing that drew me to Benyfit was the variety of flavours, the favourite in our house is then chicken and tripe! They come in clear plastic tubs which means no eating whilst they are defrosting and come in three different sizes, 1kg, 500 and 200 grams. I've been buying the 500g tuns which feeds our three perfectly.
The dogs coats have stayed lovely and shiny and we've had no tummy upsets either! I do add extra vegetables to the dogs meals to both bulk up the meals and to slow them down whilst eating (trust me, it does work!) but we've had clean bowls everyday!
Above the Turkey flavour and below Chicken & Tripe (with added veg! and Verm-x bone for natural worming properties)
I did also pick up a tub of the Benyfit Bites which the gang go mad for!

Do you feed raw?

Places To Visit - Not For Cats

When I met up with Amy and Emily last Wednesday after we'd walked the length of Lepe beach (blog post is linked here) we headed over to Not for Cats in Whiteley, and oh was it worth the drive!

Not For Cats is a dog deli located in Whitely, Hampshire. Not For Cats is tucked away in a corner of an industrial estate but is by far the best pet store i've ever visited! They describe themselves as being driven by the health, happiness and wellbeing of pets and their ethos is to only stock the products and brands they would feel comfortable giving to their own Labradoodle, Sampson (who we met and is such a lovely boy!) they believe in natural pet products and stock a huge range of raw, wet food, dry food and treats - absolute heaven!

There is literally nothing at all similar to this on the Island, so I took this as justification to get a little spend happy! Think I had more fun shopping in there then I did at Crufts! So here's my haul! :-)

I was super excited to see that they stocked Cotswold Raw as this is a brand that i've been saying to get for the dogs, I picked up a 500g chicken pack which was £2.50
(sorry for the rubbish photo, they wanted their dinner!)
I picked up a variety of natural treats, 2 goats ears(?!), 2 beef twists and a jumbo pizzle - ours love puzzles and Ava always wants them but can't have them because they're too small - not this one though! I also picked up a hide roll for Ava, so nice to find Saint sized natural treats!

And because i'd spent so much they kindly gave me a Cotswold Raw cool bag which is massive so perfect for a summer of dog shows!

Collars & Bows:
As soon as I walked in I spotted a wall of Bramble and Friends collars and leads and I knew I wouldn't be leaving without one! I picked up a pink tweed and solid leather collar for Lily and this is beautiful! (more in depth post on this to follow) and because I have the self restraint of a small child I also added two more bow ties to my collection; the lilac and the grey - these are the bigger size than our other 4 but are equally lovely!

I bought two more bows (yes I know but I couldn't resist!) the first is a teal with white dachshunds(!?) so naturally i just had to have it! This is by the brand Pepito & Co, the second is another teal bow but with an adorable fox print - I especially liked this one because it features adjustable velcro loops for attaching to collars meaning Sev can actually wear it on his everyday collar! This is by Collars by Lizzy.

Other stuff:
Ava's been having her first season so has been a bit under the weather so I bought her a Green and Wilds octopus toy, Ava loves leather/suede toys and she loves this one!
And finally I picked up a PitPat! This was actually cheaper in the store than online so I couldn't pass it up! Super excited to test this, especially on dog show days!

Have you been to Not For Cats before? We'll definitely be going back! :-)

Introducing Neoh&Nobo

Every so often a new brand comes along that just gets everything right - Neoh & Nobo are one of those!
Neoh&Nobo first caught my eye on Twitter, their whole branding really caught my eye, the simple yet eye catching packaging and the use of black, white and pink (my favourite!). Their instagram feed is just dreamy!
So when Ky contacted me via Twitter asking if Lily and Sev would be interested in tying their treats it was a definite yes!

Neoh&Nobo follow six main principles for their treats;
Coconut & Plant Based
Inspired by the benefits of botanics, our treats are crafted with our signature coconut and plant based ingredients. Including a combination of herbs, spices and plant extracts, our treats are fragrant and aromatic providing a number of nutritional benefits for the mind, body and paws.
- As artisans we take pride in crafting every single one of our treats by hand. Not only does this ensure the quality and freshness of each of our treats, but this also makes every single treat unique in their own way.
Small Batched
- We manufacturer each of our treats in small batches daily so they stay fresher for longer. Not only does this help us to reduce our wastage and emissions, but it also means that we can continue to send out quality treats for you and pup each and every time.
100% Natural & Organic
- We live by the motto natural, simple and good and this ethos is ingrained into our culture. We believe that we should only feed our dogs ingredients we would consume ourselves, therefore our treats are made with 100% natural and organic ingredients, and are free from additives, preservatives, wheat, gluten, artificial ingredients, salt and sugar.
Gluten & Wheat Free
- Free from gluten and wheat containing ingredients, our treats are suitable for pups with sensitive tummies and allergies. We use a blend of organic gluten and wheat free flours derived from seeds and coconut to ensure our treats can be enjoyed by all.
Minimally Baked
- Free from gluten and wheat containing ingredients, our treats are suitable for pups with sensitive tummies and allergies. We use a blend of organic gluten and wheat free flours derived from seeds and coconut to ensure our treats can be enjoyed by all.
Ky kindly sent us a box of their Banana x Turmeric biscuits to taste test on the gang and oh my word they loved them! Even fussy Ava who notoriously hates most things went mad for them! The treats are the perfect combination of soft treats and crunchy biscuits, they aren't crumbly but were easy to break in half so perfect if you have small dogs!
Turmeric has numerous health benefits for dogs, its main one being it's natural anti-inflammatory properties! The treats have a really unique smell, which the dogs must have loved because they'd eaten half by the time i'd taken the photos!
The packing is gorgeous, simple yet really effective, I especially like the flyer!

(sorry for the lack of Lily in the photos, she had zero restraint for the treats!)
Lily and Sev are proud to be part of the #NeohSquad which we're super excited about and can't wait to share more! :)
