A lack of inspiration..

My desktop is full of photos taken ready for blogposts, but I just cannot find the words, we've been so busy lately that i've just not had time to sit down and just write!
Instead of complete blog silence I thought i'd share some recent photos of the youngest members of the family having fun in their paddling pool - I just hope the writing spark returns soon!

June Favourites!

Here's a few of our favourite things from June!

Treat:
We've been loving Whimzees! They're a vegetable based dog chew, we have one of these every evening, they're low fat and relatively mess free! These can be quite pricey to be individually so I buy the selection box, the cheapest place we've found is from Viovet.

Favourite collar:
Is a new purchase at DogFest from Holly & Lil, and the collar Lily is currently wearing everyday! I've never really been an animal print type of person but I really like the colours and workmanship thats gone into this one! Slightly pricier than last months favourite, but most definitely worth it! You can buy it here.
Favourite All round shop:
This months top spot is Wagytail, mainly due to their incredible 50% sale!! Here are some of our favourite buys!

Favourite new discovery:
Is yet another DogFest find, Pancho's Wardrobe! I'd heard of them through Chloe & Archie's blog and fell in love with everything on their stand! My favourite buys are this utterly gorgeous bandana and stripy t-shirt! I'm a sucker for anything with stripes so this was a definite must have for us! :-)

Favourite Luxury item:
This absolutely stunning coat from the incredible Hettie! The workmanship on this is just to die for! Separate post on our Hettie goodies to follow later this month!

Barney's Biscuit Boxes!

I first heard about Barney's Biscuit Boxes last Christmas when our friend Otto, shared a picture of their advent calendar (we'd already bought ours so missed out!) and didn't really know that much about them, but I was contacted by them asking if i'd like to try one out!

I always look into every brand before I say yes, one of the first things that was that from every box (and Advent Calendar at Christmas!) sold a donation is made to a UK dog rescue of your choice! Along side funding rescue dogs, Barney's donate money to helping rehabilitate dogs by paying towards their vet bills, as dogs saved from puppy farms are kept in horrific conditions and in need of vet treatment. They work closely with some of the smallest rescue centres that are saving these dogs by helping towards their vet bills. By buying a Barney's Biscuit Box you can help too!
I absolutely love this idea! Guilt free dog treat buying! :-)
Barney's do a range of different boxes, from size orientated to dietary requirements, which I really liked! I chose the small box because Lily and Sev are under 5kg, the size based boxes come with two options, the "starter box" and the "large box". We where very kindly sent the Large box! They also make a Puppy, Sensitive Tummy and even a Vegan treat box
The product description lists what is in each box which is really helpful if you have a fussy dog, I didn't read it before hand as I quite liked it being a surprise!
The treats come packaged in a sturdy box baring the Barney's Biscuit Boxes logo and are filled with shredded paper - Lily had great fun poking around in this and made a beeline for her favourite Pooch and Mutt treats!

All the treats included in the boxes are all very high quality, made from human-grade ingredients with no additivesno preservativesno derivativesno salt or sugar which is something I try and look for when buying the dog's treats, each box comes without being tied into a subscription deal and are really good value for money! They would make the perfect gift for either your own dog or as a gift for a friend (the puppy box would make a brilliant present for a new addition!)

Overall I really love this product, the whole idea behind it is brilliant and the fact that I can spoil my two whilst knowing i'm helping dogs in rescue centres is really nice, as soon as they've finished this box i'll definitely be trying some of the other varieties and without a doubt this year their advent calendar will be one from Barney's! :)

WagyTail 50% Sale! Our Picks!

Once again our friends over at Wagytail have another crazy sale! Everything has 50% off suing the code "sale50"! Here's our picks!

Yes, I know, they really didn't need anymore but i've been eyeing these limited edition beauties up since they where released and at £6.75 each I just couldn't say no! The colour on these are gorgeous and I love the colours!

These are two of the newer designs, the navy stripe is for Sev and I picked the mint floral print up for Lily these where £2.25 each! Utter bargain!!

Leads
The discount code also applies to sale items so as there isn't an exact matching lead for the harnesses I chose I though these would match nicely! The pink star lead was £3 and the blue polka dot was £2.75 reduced from £11!!

The sale is so good I'm honestly considering placing a second order!!
I've got some other Wagytail items that need photographing so another post with the dachs is in the works! Just need the weather to improve!!

DogFest #TeamSouth

Myself and Lily where lucky enough to be invited to DogFest in Windsor last Saturday by the lovely Lisa and Sam of Guru Pet Food! We tested their food on our blog early this year, if you'd like to read that, click here! Guru is such a fab company who we where incredibly proud to be a part of the Guru Geeks! :)
Lily and I adored the Guru stand - Lily even claimed herself one of their seriously comfy leather chairs! We got to meet various instagram dogs whilst on the stand, Bruno the dachshund and his mums who i've not seen since Crufts! & the gorgeous Duke and his parents from Duke Loves Fergie (French Bulldogs are my absolute guilty pleasure, and Duke is such a gorgeous boy!).

We've had this blog for almost 3 years and have it was so nice to finally be able to meet some of these people we've been talking to for so long! Jacob & bruno the chocolate miniature smooth dachshunds from jacob_bruno_mini_dachshunds, Winny the Corgi (another serious dog crush - I was far too busy getting excited to try and take a photo!!).

I brought my canon with me but due to the unpredictable weather I ended up using my iPhone all day, we walked around the show ground and as predicted, did far too much shopping! From both old favourites and new! Separate posts will follow this one! :)
We popped along to the Royal Canin stand where Lily was weighed - the RC vets told me that she was perfect :) Every person that stopped to talk to Lily commented on how soft her coat was and lovely condition she was, which is a real compliment as I work so hard to keep both of mine looking perfect! :)

I had such a great time and am so thankful to have been invited to blog about the event for Guru, we had such an incredible time, regardless of the weather, thank god for pack-a-macs and Lily's waterproof Teddy Maximus coat!
