November Favourites

Can't believe we are already in December! This year has gone so fast!
Here are our favourites from the last month, some are obvious choices but we really have loved them!

Firstly is our gorgeous Slumbering Hounds Luxurious Slumber bed which i'm sure you're all fed up of reading about by now! But Lily absolutely loves this and would spend all day in it if I let her! The full post on this is linked here.

Our second favourite this month is Daisy's new collar from Devil Dood Designs, this is a paracord martingale collar which is super tough and hardwearing, perfect for a soggy spaniel!

The next favourite is a newish one, in my Pet Nature box I received a pot of the Pointy Faces "Paw & Sore balm" in the organic neem and lavender scent, Ava is constantly prone to pink chewy spots on her front legs, this balm helps to reduce the itching which means she leaves them alone so they can heal! This was also be super useful as the weather gets colder as Lily can get dry pads!

Our favourite treats this month are from a new brand to us; Boxby Trainer Mini Bones. I was given a sample of these at discover dogs and I'm sure they're magic! Lily and Sev will literally do anything for them! They're tiny little soft bone treats that are perfect either as training treats or in my case, photography bribes!

Our final favourite is another item from our Pet Nature box, the fleece Tugger! This was an instant hit, Sev stole it straight away and ran off with it! This is a really simple but strong toy that they all love!

Thank you for reading!

Pet Nature Box!

I was kindly sent an example box from the lovely people at Pet Nature Box to feature in my Christmas Gift Guides, but the gang liked it so much I thought it also deserved it's own post!
Last year I used to subscribe to one of the big monthly pet box brands and was always a bit on the fence about value for money etc but then after I'd cancelled my subscription it was announced that they had gone bust and since then i've always been slightly anxious about trying another, well, that was until Pet Nature Box!

The monthly box was born out of their independent pet shop which stocks a range of natural toys and treats, their passion is to support local and independent suppliers which means the boxes are filled with unique brands each box has free delivery and includes 5 to 6 different products each month.
The box I was sent certainly didn't disappoint and the dogs just couldn't wait to get in there and see what they'd been sent (there is a video on my twitter!). Everything in the box was super high quality, I was excited to see a paw balm from Pointy Faces as i'd been meaning to test their products for a while!

The dogs' highlight would definitely be the fleece rope tugger by Tuggers and the Serrano Snacks  ham treats! They've had some of these before and loved them!

Overall I was really pleased with the contents and the passion behind this box and will definitely be looking into subscribing in the new year!

£20 and under gift guide!

This is my second to last gift guide post, as stated in the title. everything in this post is under £20 making them affordable but equally lovely!
As with the previous post I have a variety of presents for dogs and their people :)

Firstly we have a monthly subscription box by "Pet Nature Box" you can buy the box as a one off for £19.99  with free UK postage or you can buy the recipient a monthly subscription where a new box is delivered each month - basically the gift that keeps giving!
Each month you receive 5-6 natural toys/treats/accessories, we where lucky enough to be sent a box to review so once it's separate post goes live I will link it here! They're the perfect gift for the person who has everything!

The next item i've chosen is from next! I love this and kind of want to use it all year round! The is their "Dachshund Through the Snow" appliqué cushion which retails at £14. This is literally adorable the dachshund on the cushion wears a little knitted jumper and hat with a pompom which adds a little festive joy to any room! Also makes the perfect inexpensive gift for anyone that loves dachshunds.

Next we have the first of my collar selections, this collar is by Boots and Bones who i've written about before and was really impressed with the quality so I bought some more (which will have a separate post later on in Blogmas!) The first collar bought was this gorgeous almost monochrome tweed with a hint of burgundy which I love!
I also have chose another group of collars from Boots and Bones; their festive range! Think my personal favourite is the Starry Night or Rudolph the Red, something for everyone this christmas! :)
Ellie kindly made Lily a special slim one which I can't wait to receive, the prices on these vary depend on sizing but are definitely worth the money!

It wouldn't be a gift guide without some Teddy Maximus! I have two picks from TM in this posts budget, the first being this gorgeous navy starry neckerchief which I picked up at Discover Dogs, this was £14.99 and is quite possibly my favourite bandana in my collection, beautifully made and versatile both for the festive season or all year round!
But my other pick (which I still need to buy!) is the latest in the TM bow family! The "Christmas Stars Bow Tie" is a festive take on their usual gorgeous bows, these retail for £14.99 and make a fab little present!

And lastly we have a more practical present for the dog that loves to be wet and dirty (Daisy, I'm looking at you!!) our friends over at Adventures of Doodles have recently set up Devil Dood Designs a brand that uses paracord to make strong, practical but still beautiful collars and leads. I ordered a martingale collar in their launch sale and Emily was kind enough to send me a few other bits and pieces to try out (another separate post will go live soon about these) they come in a huge variety of colours and combinations, Sev is wearing Lily's "Ice Princess" collar which is part of the DDD christmas range and Daisy is wearing her reflective martingale collar. These also vary depending on what you'd like but the Ice Princess starts at £10 and martingales are an added extra to any of the collars.

One more instalment left which is our £30 + Luxury gift guide!

Canine Stocking Fillers - Gifts £10 and under

The second instalment of the 2016 gift guide is one of my favourites, everything featured is under £10 and i've also included a few gifts that are perfect for humans too!

The first item i've found is from TheCosyCanineCompany on etsy (quite a few items in this post will be etsy buys as it's such a good place to find beautiful, handcrafted gifts!). I've followed CC on twitter for a while now and lusted over their oilcloth crate covers which are available in a range of gorgeous prints but could never order one as a certain resident St. Bernard enjoys shredding anything age can get her teeth on! So when I saw she was bringing out a range of coordinating poop bag holders, especially when I saw the dachshund print ones(!!) I knew we needed one! The retail at £8.00 and come in a huge range of prints, I chose the one that looked closest to Lily! These are beautifully made and include a roll of bags, making them a fab little present for anyone who owns a dog!

The next two items are more etsy purchases from my favourite seller on etsy; TheJanuaryRose, Louise's shop will pop up a couple more times in this post but i'll start with my most recent purchase, these two gorgeous little bows! I've got a serious bow obsession inane you haven't already guessed and these two are just gorgeous! I chose the dogs one each, the Navy Star and the Grey Herringbone but Louise has a whole range of prints including two different sizes, I bought the small size which retails at £7.49 each and they are just so beautifully made and definitely make a lovely gift!

Next up is another human present, this mug is tho adorable Dachshund Christmas mug, this is £5 and from matalan, so cute and such a bargain!

More bows now, but from another of my favourite shops, Mabel & Mu! I've got quite a collection of bows from M&M and these christmas bows are so lovely! They make a wide range of different christmas collars/leads/bows the two I chose are from the collections Bubblegum Santa and Little Santa these are adorable and I wish they could wear them all year round! The bows are £4.00 each.

This next idea is this dachshund ornament from John Lewis. Each year I like to buy a fancy christmas ornament, this year it was this little chap; the Dachshund Bellboy ornament! They retail for £7.50 and are a really easy yet special gift for someone that loves daxies! :)

And finally we have another item from The January Rose, Louise makes these gorgeous hand stamped key rings which are customisable, I bought the "Crazy Dachshund Lady" keyring (pictured) for myself, Louise offers the option to add extra hearts to the keyring, mine has 2 one for Lily and one for Sev - I've actually bought a second keyring to give to my colleague who has two Boxers. Think this is my favourite gift in this post because its so personal yet so lovely! :)

Thank you for reading, hope this gives you some ideas!
